For a custom button cover, specify the host-button size, cover clearance, attachment, insert dimensions, logo artwork, finish and quantity before requesting a sample.
Distinguish the cover size from the button it fits
Mark the cover outside diameter, usable inside diameter, host-button diameter and thickness separately. Show the hinge or fastening mechanism and the clearance required when closed. A 20mm outside diameter alone is not a complete fit specification.
Our catalogue includes blank hinged and recessed-bezel directions as well as decorated covers. Compare the structure with the actual garment button; do not assume that two covers with a similar face diameter attach in the same way.
Specify the insert and its attachment
For a glued insert, provide insert diameter, thickness, back profile and the available bonding area. For a recessed bezel, mark the recess and rim dimensions. Share a reference insert or drawing if the face is domed, irregular or made from a different material.
Agree how the decoration will be attached and how the assembled sample will be checked. The insert, cover and garment-button fit need to be reviewed together.
Prepare usable logo artwork
Provide vector artwork where available, plus a preview showing orientation and placement. Mark the intended logo area, any small text and whether the request is for engraving, relief, enamel or another treatment. The method is reviewed against the chosen structure and material.
If multiple names or messages are required, list the artwork variants and quantities for each. Customer-supplied logos and designs should be used only within the permission given for that project.
Request the quotation and sample in separate steps
List base material, finish reference, quantities per design, packaging and intended use with the drawing. Ask separately about existing tooling, new tooling, sample availability and any required inspection or documentation.
Approve the drawing, attachment operation, appearance and fit on a garment before bulk production. A requested trial quantity is a buyer requirement; the quoted minimum quantity and timing are confirmed after review.
Send a dimensioned drawing or reference sample and list the material, finish, quantity and approval requirements. Tooling, sample availability and commercial terms are confirmed after review.
